Les paysages deviennent plus sauvages, dominés par les sommets des Annapurnas et du Tilicho Peak, avant d’atteindre les eaux turquoise du lac, niché au cœur d’un vaste cirque glaciaire. Un vol spectaculaire permet ensuite de rejoindre Lukla, porte d’entrée du Khumbu. Au fil des jours, les villages deviennent plus rares et les sommets plus imposants.
